This band certainly has left an indelible mark in the world of Rock ‘N’ Roll. Since their foundation in 1962, Status Quo established their distinctive boogie rock style that became their trademark. Over all this years, original members Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt, along with an ensemble of talented musicians, formed this institution called Status Quo, that has built a worldwide dedicated fan base and achieved remarkable success. Throughout their career, over 30 studio albums have been released, what shows their enduring creativity and musical prowess. Since their breakthrough in the early 1970s, the band was able to land several hit singles such as 'In The Army Now', 'Caroline', 'Whatever You Want', and 'Rockin' All Over the World', which solidified their status as one of the biggest rock bands of all time. Status Quo's energetic live performances became their calling card, with their trademark boogie rock anthems igniting crowds around the world. They have played countless sold-out shows, headlined major festivals, and built a reputation as a must-see live act. Their enduring popularity was recognized in 1991 when they were awarded the prestigious Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.

As with each forthcoming release in this series, this official and fully endorsed recording features a carefully curated selection of iconic Status Quo performances, including classic hits spanning their extensive catalogue, deep cuts and fan favourites. Each track is a testament to the band's enduring popularity and musical prowess.
The ‘Official Archive Series’ offers exceptional sound quality and great packaging throughout, featuring photography by Christie Goodwin. The Series has been freshly mixed and mastered by Eike Freese and Laurin Halberstadt at Chameleon Studios Hamburg.
‘Vol. 3 - Live At Westonbirt Arboretum’ was recorded on Sunday 22 June 2008 as part of the ‘In Search Of The Fourth Chord’ UK tour. This was the tenth show of the year, and was part of the ‘Forest Live’ initiative by the Forestry Commission, and in fact was a return to the venue for the band who had performed a short run of ‘Forest Live’ shows as part of the ‘Heavy Traffic’ tour of 2003.
