Skunk Anansie

Skunk Anansie formed in 1994, went on hiatus in 2001, then reformed in 2009. To date, they have released five studio albums: Paranoid and Sunburnt (1995), Stoosh (1996), Post Orgasmic Chill (1999), Wonderlustre (2010) and Black Traffic (2012); they have also issued the compilation album ‘Smashes and Trashes’ (2009), plus the acoustic CD / DVD ‘An Acoustic Skunk Anansie – Live In London’ (2013), along with a run of hit singles, including ‘Charity’, ‘Hedonism’, ‘Selling Jesus’, ‘I Can Dream’ and ‘Weak’. Skunk Anansie went on to become one of the biggest rock bands in Britain and Europe throughout the ’90s, selling over 5 million records and doing 7 sell-out world tours up to 2000. In 1999, the band headlined the Glastonbury festival, and they have also performed with Pavarotti for the Dalai Lama, and Nelson Mandela for his 80th Birthday ‘Gift To The Nation’ shows.
