Albert Hammond releases ‘Silent Night’ through earMUSIC today.
Albert’s stark and beautiful rendition of ‘Silent Night’ closes the album on a note of mystery and awe, while the video conjures up a vision of the beauty of our Universe and the power of a single voice.
In 1989 Albert Hammond released the holiday single ‘Under the Christmas Tree’ (included on ‘Christmas’ in a new version), but had never released a Christmas album in his storied 50+year career – until now.
‘I am grateful, as I am sure you are, that every year we have this time to remember the hope and joy in all of that. My prayer is that we can hold these things through more of our days as we live together and, day by day, change the world, too.’

‘Christmas’ is filled with holiday cheer including traditional carols like ‘God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen’ and ‘O Come, All Ye Faithful’ and timeless classics (‘Blue Christmas,’ ‘Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town’) as well as contemporary yuletide standards (‘Last Christmas,’ ’Driving Home for Christmas’) and ‘I Wish You a Merry Christmas,’ a new Albert Hammond composition.
